Three Huge Things The US Government Is Deliberately Not Fully Activating That Could Help Keep You Alive:

1 -- The Defense Production Act.

2 -- The Stafford Act.

3 -- The Strategic National Stockpile.

The fact that none of these are being fully used means we will have more critical national resources as this pandemic spreads.

Whether or not these authorities + capabilities are fully used, there is no national system to adjudicate critical national resources. This leaves governors, local governments, and the private sector competing for... EVERYTHING.

Governors, mayors, county executives, the Trump administratration, and FOX news continue to claim that widespread closures are not needed because there are not widespread cases. Of course there are not widespread DETECTED cases. There are still few coronavirus tests available nationwide. Claiming that there are no cases when there is no data is the kind of non-logic that will make this much, much worse for hundreds of thousands.

We're going to need connection, community, resilience, and problem-solving. This is going to get much, much worse.
