The Moment Has Arrived

I pull a lot of my wisdom from movies. The great mythology of our time. This one from the Matrix hits me at some of the most powerful, toughest moments.

We're in one.

"Neo, sooner or later you're going to realize just as I did that there's a difference between knowing the path, and walking the path." - Morpheus

One of my biggest lessons from the last year is the power of denial. It factors into this challenge of knowing the path, versus walking it.

Part of knowing that it's time to walk it is pushing past the denial that the moment has arrived.

The moment has arrived.

Time to pull out all the stuff we've been saving for a rainy day. For a crisis. For the fancy guests. For the big fight.

The good China. The guest towels. The emergency kit. The tools that languish. The backup plans. The backup plans to the backup plans. Extra resilience. The stuff socked away for when it's needed.

Our A-Game. Our *asymmetrical* game.

We are going to need all of the plans and all of the resources and all of the people and all of the teams and all of the groups and all of the initiatives and all of the movements.

It's time.

Let's bring it.
